The night was sparkling, windy yet calm
I had my space amidst the happy crowd
I sit a satisfied mind watching you cheer
Your eyes sufficed a thousand cares.
Cherished moment that enclosed our presence
The sweetest taste of softness you gave

Hung over me as your arms would hold.

ReplyDeleteYou guys think leaving the 1st or 2nd or 3rd comment etc shows how much you appreciate this poem? You're wrong. True appreciation comes from deep within and not from mere keyboards.
I've been staring at this poem for the last few hours, still mesmerized by the sheer beauty of it. Its like love and innocence and pain all fused together in their rawest form. In fact, it feels like I've been staring at this poem all my life, ever since I was but a mere foetus stranded all alone deep inside a womb, searching for those perfect words that can move mountains.
That's how much it had impacted me. Maybe I was brought into this world with the sole intention of chancing upon this particular poem, I don't know. But that's what it feels like right now.
And that is why I couldn't comment earlier, much before gothica and zualbonez turned up here. I was lost in a passionate oblivion, trying to find my way out of it, gasping for a sense of reality.
This is not just a poem of the week. This is the poem of my life. Well written BD. Clap clap clap.
